What you need to know about Cryoskin!

Updated: Dec 6, 2019

What is Cryoskin?

Cryoskin is non-invasive technology which uses cold temperature to instantly reduce fat (Cryoskin Slimming / CryoSlimming) and reduce stubborn cellulite (Cryoskin Toning / CryoToning) within a 30-minute session.

We also offer Cryoskin facials (CryoFacials), which is more natural than Botox and can be equally effective. This procedure stimulates the production of collagen and reduces fine lines and wrinkles. It also reduces pore size and improves the elasticity of the skin, which is why you can get such a significant immediate effect.

When will I see results? Is there anything I need to do?

Like most body treatments, the best CryoToning & CryoSlimming results occur around 5 sessions but the first results are generally visible from the first session and often very encouraging! Results continue to appear from 15 days to 3 weeks after the start of treatment and extend for several months. This is due to the loss of fat mass but also to lymphatic drainage techniques (which should be done once or twice a week between sessions), a healthy diet and an active lifestyle.

For even better results, it is recommended that you do not consume sugar 2 hours before and after the session (up to 5 hours if possible!). This goes for all sugars, including slow-digesting ones found in pasta, rice, bread, cereals, etc. As you know, sugar is a strong power source for fat cells and most nutritionists agree that, for successful weight loss, sugar should

be cut from your diet.

Ok, sounds great, but how does it work?

We’ll spare you all the technical terms and keep it simple: fat cells happen to be more sensitive to changes in temperature than other cells in your body so, when you cool them, the water in them expands, breaking the cell. These cells then pass out of the lymphatic system.

What is the main difference between Cryoskin vs CoolSculpting?

OUCH on the body! CoolSculpting, which can be painful and create significant side effects, such as disfigurement (“shelving”, which is fat collecting in other areas due to the suction) and numbness.

OUCH on the wallet! CoolSculpting costs up to $1,000 per applicator and most people need 4 applicators, which comes to a whopping $4,000. You can try Cryoskin at Colorado Integrative Healthcare for only $350 (or get the 5 pack at a discounted rate of $1,500).

Are the Cryoskin treatments permanent?

  • Cryoskin Slimming / Fat Loss: Depending on the individual (their lifestyle and diet), results can be permanent! It is advisable to have 2 - 3 sessions 6 months after the end of treatment to maintain the best results and some people choose to repeat the treatment every few years or as needed.

  • Cryoskin Toning / Cellulite Reduction: The treatment is more temporary for cellulite. The cold creates vasodilation in the treated area, which increases the production of collagen to help breakdown cellulite, but cellulite will return if there are no changes in diet and exercise.

  • Cryoskin Facial: The results last for several months with only a few sessions. The treatment increases the production of collagen which helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines / wrinkles, close pores, and increase the elasticity of the skin which gives you the “Cryoskin glow”, however, the aging process continues so the effect is not permanent.

As Cryoskin is a relatively new procedure, we receive a lot of questions about it from our clients. We tackled the most asked questions here and hope that helped with some of your questions but we are always available info@cointegrativehealth.com to assist with anything else.
